Hear what people have to say about us...

  • Miss W came to GWCA solicitors in relation to an accident her daughter had suffered in Victoria Park, Worthing, West Sussex. A notice attached to a metal pole had rusted through causing the pole to break leaving only the base of the pole in the grass. The area and the pole were the responsibility of Worthing Borough Council who we felt had failed in their duty to inspect and maintain the area. Miss W's daughter tripped over the base of the broken pole and suffered a Torus fracture to her navicular bone in her foot.

GWCA were instructed to deal with the claim on a No Win No Fee basis and an acceptance of liability was obtained from Worthing Borough Council. A report from a consultant orthopaedic surgeon was commissioned to confirm the extent of the injuries before a sum in compensation was agreed.

Miss W advised "I am extremely happy with the service we received from Malcolm Dickson at Green Wright Chalton Annis; from start to finish it was a very stress free process."

  • Mrs P was injured when a reversing car mounted the pavement and struck her back as she was sitting on a bench in Rustington, West Sussex. Mrs P was pushed off the bench by the impact and suffered an injury to her back. GWCA were instructed to deal with the claim on a No Win No Fee basis and an acceptance of liability was obtained from the driver. A report from a GP was commissioned to confirm the extent of the injuries. The driver's insurance company failed to make a reasonable offer and therefore the court was asked to make an award. The court agreed that the driver's insurance company's offer of compensation was too low and an award of damages in compensation was made.

Mrs P advised "I am pleased to say Malcolm Dickson took on my case for compensation for a driving accident [for] which I received compensation. I was very happy with his work and [the] correspondence I received whilst waiting for it."

  • Mrs B was injured when a kitchen she had fitted wasn't installed correctly causing a cupboard door to fall off which resulted in her sustaining an injury to her shoulder. GWCA were instructed to deal with the claim on a No Win No Fee basis and an acceptance of liability was obtained from the defendant. Medical reports detailing the injuries sustained were obtained and these advised that surgery was required. We therefore obtained funding for the surgery to be conducted privately and then arranged private rehabilitation ensuring Mrs B had the best available surgery and care.

Mrs M advised "Mr Malcolm Dickson has been dealing with my personal injury claim; I have been most impressed by his excellent advice and for keeping me fully informed of the progress of negotiations. A full and final settlement has now been agreed and I am indebted to Mr Dickson for bringing this claim to a final conclusion. Mr Dickson has dealt with this matter with great kindness and much diligence."

  • Mrs M was injured when she tripped and fell due to an uneven floor in a NCP carpark in Worthing, West Sussex, which resulted in her sustaining an injury. GWCA were instructed to deal with the claim on a No Win No Fee basis and an acceptance of liability was obtained from the defendant. Medical reports detailing the injuries sustained were obtained before negotiations for compensation were begun.

Mrs M advised "I would like to take this opportunity of thanking your company for its expertise and for the way in which Malcolm Dickson was able to conclude my personal injury claim with complete professionalism throughout an extended period and arriving at a satisfactory conclusion. Much of his time and effort was given in explaining everything in full detail, thus making it easy and for me being a complete novice in these matters to understand the reasons required to achieve a satisfactory outcome. Very many thanks to all concerned."

  • Mrs G was injured when an item in the WH Smith store in Worthing, West Sussex, fell onto her head causing her to sustain an injury. GWCA were instructed to deal with the claim on a No Win No Fee basis and an acceptance of liability was obtained from the defendant. • Mrs H suffered a serious fracture to her wrist and attended Worthing Hospital. The injury was x rayed and then she underwent an operation to insert metalwork. The hospital failed to re x ray her wrist, as is normal standard practice, in order to ensure that the bones were properly aligned and healing correctly. As a result of the hospitals failure Mrs H suffered an increased level of pain and restricted movement. GWCA were instructed to deal with the clinical negligence claim on a No Win No Fee basis and an acceptance of liability was obtained from Worthing Hospital. Medical reports detailing the level of increased pain and restricted movement were obtained before negotiations for compensation were begun.

Mrs H advised "I was apprehensive about doing a claim and found the support, information and guidance given by Malcolm Dickson was unfailing, he was very reassuring at all times and kept me informed of how the case was progressing and always dealt with me in a professional manner. I am extremely pleased with the outcome and all aspects of his care and commitment."

  • Mrs H was injured when she was driving her car in Ferring, West Sussex and the car travelling behind her drove into the rear of her car. Mrs H suffered a whiplash injury to her neck for which medical attention was required. GWCA were instructed to deal with the road traffic accident on a No Win No Fee basis and an acceptance of liability was obtained from the driver. A report from a GP was commissioned to confirm the extent of the injuries and then an award for compensation was negotiated for her injury claim.

Mrs H advised "Malcolm Dickson was very understanding of our suffering and was very helpful in assisting us and advising us with regards to the claim. Malcolm was very approachable and was easy to contact and would always contact us very quickly if we left a message for him to call or reply by email. We are very happy with the outcome of our claim and feel that by listening to Malcolm's advice we did get a great settlement and would certainly be recommending Malcolm to friends and family should they need his service."
